I believe that I was born to be an artist but only recently have
I found what has been buried inside me. I have been painting for
5 years. Now, it is my purpose to develop my art to enable me to
express as best I can my feelings and passions for the natural world.
As a self-taught artist I feel it has been a benefit to have been allowed to mature in my mind, free from outside influences I am able to discover the art that will best express myself. The subject I choose to paint is nature and to paint nature demands an understanding that can only come from contemplation of the true essence of nature itself. This I believe, can only be developed by looking into one's own mind to see the reality of things. But this is no easy task, a constant battle I chose to fight. Fighting with the fact that I am trying to paint the essence of something that is already a work of art before the artist lays his eyes upon it... ...it is this essence that I am searching to create in my art.
